Working with an aggressive dog after owner leaves?
Hi there.
I've never had this happen before and wanted to know if anyone else has any advice. I am petting 2 dogs for 4 days- one is over 150lbs (VERY VERY large dog) and a Lab mix. The first day I was there, they were okay. But this morning, when I tried to leave, he blocked the door and started growling. I tried to go through the garage and he pushed past me and growled the entire time. I had to put more food in his bowl and sneak out. I let the owner know but they are out of the country. What should I do? The dog outweighs me by a good 60lbs and I've never been one to be freaked out by any animal, but this one scared me.
Any advice?

Does the dog have any kind of Kong or similar toyor bone that you can add peanut butter to and give to him each time you leave? I've had lots of dogs that put up a fight when I try to leave, and PB seems to do the trick (provided that you're allowed to feed him that).
