How to verify number when number is "already registered"?

This is my first time signing up for http://Rover.com and when asked to verify my phone number it says it has already been previously registered. I only have one phone number and I'm not able to become a sitter until this step has been completed. What can I do?

The only way this can be corrected is to call Rover support @ [Edit: Rover’s contact options have changed. Visit the Rover Help Center at https://support.rover.com/ to find the phone number, help articles, or chat with the team]
