How long does it take an adopted 2 year dog to become acclimated to their new home?

I adopted a mini pitmix 2yr old female. She continues to jump on my furniture, and has actually gnawed a hole in my bench. I was told that she plays well with other dogs, but she appears to be overly aggressive with my 1 yr old pit mix. How much time should I give her, before I have to say enough is enough?

Speaking from experience it takes about two months for a new pup to acclimate to a new home, but that has nothing to do with jumping on furniture or chewing. You should consider training for your new pup. Best of luck

2 year olds still need training and I agree that you may have to supervise more when with your other dog and consider putting on a handle leash inside so you can pull her away quick if needed. You have to really work with dogs for 2-3 months in my experience. Work with her 2 times per day for 10 min

How long have you had her? Do you do slow introductions with your current pet? Depending on the dog it could take a few weeks to a few months. Is she doing these things when you are not home? If so have you thought about crate training? If you got her from a rescue maybe reach out to them for some advice.
