Sitter no shows to meet and greet?

I scheduled a meet and greet with a sitter. She bailed the first day and said it was due to car trouble.. then asked to reschedule to the next day. I agreed, and then she never showed. No messages, no calls. I messaged her and called with no response. I know she’s still using the site as she had a recent review from someone. My concern is I shared my address with her so now she has that info.. and perhaps never planned to show up but wanted it for other reasons. In general, it’s bad business practice. If she didn’t want to petsit, she could’ve just reached out and said she changed her mind. Anyone else experience the same thing? Is there a way to let Rover know so that it can be addressed? I wish I could put a review or comment to alert others that they may face the same issue.

I’ve had the same thing happen to me. I was supposed to meet with someone at 1:00 on Tuesday but she never showed up. I called, texted and emailed with no response. I was supposed to meet with another person today and so far no word from her. Very frustrating!

I mean even though I just started on this website I had a first job taking care of two cats I know there was not really a way to do a meet and greet because I didn't want to show up at this person's house and this person was a total stranger so I did meet and greet on WhatsApp video chat........

Please contact Rover Customer Support at [Edit: Rover’s contact options have changed. Visit the Rover Help Center at https://support.rover.com/ to find the phone number, help articles, or chat with the team] to notify them. They will be able to see (but wont necessarily divulge) if this is a repeat issue with that pet sitter and take appropriate action. Also, they can help you try to find the right match at no extra fee.

I second Deb's answer, please call Rover and report the sitter.

We need to be able to review people who repeatedly bail on meet/greets. I am tired of it . I had planned to board my dog at someone’s home April 28-30 and we were scheduled to meet this Sunday (this is the 2nd time rescheduling for this boarding request)…she bailed on previous day/time as she “forgot”. She did this on another boarding request i had earlier in the month…she says she can do them, then when it comes time to meet … she bails. Unprofessional … of course, I will not contact her again…but being able to report these issues/incidents is critical for people making selections for their pet care!
