Do the client bios show where they live?

When a house sitting request comes in, I need to know where the house is. Where is that information? I always ask and I think that turns people off. Even if I ask for it in my profile, new potential clients seem to be put off.

Only the client can give you that information. I'm not sure why they may be put off by you asking. There are many practical reasons why you need to know. Since this would be a house sitting job, you might have other dogs to take care of at the same time (drop-ins or walks) and it is important that your base of operations be relatively nearby.

I recommend you make it part of the arrangements for a Meet & Greet. I do hope you do those regularly before accepting any jobs on Rover. That way you'll not only know where they live but if you don't like the location you are not under any obligation to accept the booking.

When I get a house sitting request my first question is what zip code they live in. That way I will know whether it's worthwhile to even consider continuing the conversation. If they get upset by that, then I don't need them as a client because it only hints at future possible problems.
