Damage to home when pet sitting is it covered?

If you dog sit and damage occurs to your home like chewing of woodwork or furniture or urinating is there any type of coverage for this. If the best behaved dog can get anxious in a new place with new people. We love dogs but would like some reassurance that their is coverage in the event of damage. I would think in most cases this type of damage would fall short of a Home Owners Insurance Policy deductible leaving the pet sitter with the burden of expenses. Thank you

Yes, the burden is all yours. This is the cost of doing business in your home. Rover covers none of it. Also, I would be careful claiming any damage under your homeowners policy because your insurance company will likely drop you.

All damage, repair and cleaning expenses would be deductible when filing your taxes.

As Karen mentioned don't try to file a home damage claim with your insurance company almost all of them will drop your policy and that puts you in jeopardy with your mortgage holder - tread with caution
