What does " Pending Owner Response" and "Request Expires 56h 03m" mean?

Both myself and the owner are new to Rover. I just received a request to watch someones dog. I have talked with the owner (who is also new to Rover) so I "Book It". Now that I've done that, it says " Pending Owner Response" and "Request Expires 56h 03m"? What happens if the owner doesn't respond to my request before it expires?

In this case, "Pending Owner Response" means they have to pay for the engagement and have 56 hrs in which to do so. If the owner does not pay within that timeframe, the booking will expire. But not to worry! You can always resurrect it.

So the owner has to pay me before I actually watch their dog? How do I resurrect the booking if it expires?

The owner pays before the stay, but Rover holds the money until after the stay is over.

Thank you! This happened to me today. I hit the "book it" button before the Meet & Greet so I'm glad I'll be able to hit the "book it" button again (since the offer will expire before our scheduled meet and greet). This was very helpful, thank you!! 🐾

If the owner does not pay within that timeframe, the booking will expire: just click the "Book this Stay" button on your request and the timer will start back up (rover will message the customer letting them know you have accepted their request)

Most customers like to do a meet and greet before they pay for the stay.

Rover will message the customer when the timer expires, they usually message you apologizing and saying how they still need a sitter and are you still able to care for their pet.
