Do you tip the dogsitter?

In addition to fee, am I supposed to tip the dogsitter?

Tipping is not required but it's greatly appreciated by everyone who is a dog walker, server, hair cutter, nail designer etc. You are not required to tip people who work for you but it's a nice thing if you do.

100% of the fee goes to Rover in addition to a percentage (at least 20%) of the sitter's take for the job.

If you'd like to tip the sitter, it would be greatly appreciated. You are under no obligation to do so however.

OR if you'd rather not provide a cash tip, I had an owner offer to have groceries sent for an extended stay. It was so appreciated and NEEDED.

I agree with this! I never expect a tip but it is always appreciated. Things like groceries, gift cards, veggies from your garden, etc are great to receive as well. One of my daily dog walking clients leaves me nice sunscreen which I love!

Many owners tip their sitters especially if they perform excellent work, keep the owner updated during the stay and provide lots of love and care. While it's not required it is appreciated.
