Why doesn't Rover have time included in requests?

I'm curious about this every time I look at my Rover gmail calendar, especially for dog walks. Wouldn't it be so much easier if we, or the client, could select a time they'd like us to drop by in the initial request (and we could modify it as needed prior to booking just like the rates)? I feel like this would result in less back and forth with each client and be much easier to keep track of your schedule. I always determine the times in writing, but then I have to go back through the messages to remember or add it to a separate gmail calendar, which then starts to look cluttered.

Anyone else think this would be nice? Maybe I'm the only one that uses the Rover calendar, lol.

Many clients have the ability to select a time on the booking request but that time does not carry to the Rover calendar nor sync to any other calendar

I have this same problem/question. I wish there was an option for US, as sitters, to set up our availability based on time slots. I have several drop-in visit and dog walking slots for each day, but I keep getting request for the same time of day. So I have to decline request even though it looks like I'm available. It's kind of annoying. I work with it by letting the potential client know what times I'm available INSTEAD of what they want. I think it would be annoying as a pet owner making a new booking. I would love to see an upgrade to this area.

Selecting time isn't always convenient. Unfortunately I have a part time job with a variable schedule, and having my potential clients require a specific time is very limiting in terms of what I can accept. Maybe it would be nice to make it an option, but a time window would be even better.

Well they're trying that out in certain areas, you so may see it pop up here and there. As far as I am aware it's only available if someone goes thru the browser and not the app. I personally don't use the Rover calendar and just use the google one.

Oh neat I wasn't aware they were testing it out! I love that Rover has the google calendar feature that syncs and everything, but I wish a dog walk (for example) didn't show up as an all-day event. :-(

That would be amazing! But, unfortunately not so. As long as you're setting the time up in the chat with the client and get it all written - it's up to us to time manage!
