The owner has modified the pending schedule and hasn't rebooked. I haven't been PAID for my services???

I was scheduled to house sit an owners dog on June 22nd through the 24th. I have not been PAID, through booking and calendar. Originally I was scheduled to watch an owners dog for June 21rst to June 23rd. I had booked and scheduled it as 2 overnight stays for 1 dog. The owner never confirmed, he CHANGED the schedule. He asked that I house sit his dog for June 22nd through the 24th...that's 2 nights. As I booked him for the 2 night stay, with ONE dog, he never confimed and I lost the booking through Rover. I actually DID house sit for 2 nights, but he has never confirmed my stay. Therefore I have NOT been PAID through Rover or Paypal. The owner never REconfimred through Rover and my stay wasn't archived or booked. Can I get PAID for my stays after the fact of booking wasn't confirmed???

First of all, you need to contact Rover Customer Support at [Edit: Rover’s contact options have changed. Visit the Rover Help Center at https://support.rover.com/ to find the phone number, help articles, or chat with the team]. They do not answer Qs here, especially about specific jobs.

Also, you should NEVER perform a service without receiving a confirmation from Rover for so many reasons. It is doubtful you'll get paid. Why should the client do so?

Chalk it up as a learning experience to never do that again. Stick with established procedures and all should run fairly smoothly.

Add: When a client hasn't paid by the day the service is to start, I will message them that they cannot bring their dog over to my house unless I've received a confirmation notice from Rover. That usually gets things tidied up. In your situation, you need to do Meet & Greets with all potential clients, get the dates nailed down, then make sure you have a confirmation before performing any Rover service.

This is a repeat job. This was for a House Sitting and one dog. The owner went on vacation, out of state. As soon as he left the driveway, I had tried to confirm booking through Rover....my mistake. I texted him to confirm the revised dates. The services have already been done. Now he's not answer

I suppose, in the FUTURE, I will not be so trusting. This is probably just an oversight, but I didn't get paid. Now he won't answer his messages. I guess I'm out 50 bucks AND a client?

It doesn't matter if it was a repeat client. They have to pay first.

Hope you got this resolved but all is not lost. After returning the owner can still accept the booking and you will be paid just reach out to them again and ask them to confirm, they may have to navigate to their archive folder to find the booking request. Best of luck
