Sitters are not bonded or licensed through Rover.com.

You can voluntarily submit to a background check, which will be noted by a badge on your profile. A few sitters are licensed, depending on how many dogs they take at a time and whether their locale requires it. Licensing may be noted in a person's profile but there is no specific badge.

Insurance IS provided by Rover.com.

I'm not sure you want to be bonded. You may, however, want to take extra insurance through an organization such as Pet Sitters Associates.

For the insured part, there are several different insurance companies that insure pet sitters/dog walkers/etc. such as Pet Sitters Associates, LLC. Their prices are very reasonable, especially considering the coverage you get. It's better to be safe than sorry!

Rover provides insurance for all its dog sitters, at no charge to the sitter. Here is the link that explains it.

I had to use it on my first stay when a dog I was sitting got sick. They reimbursed me for the entire vet bill.
