You should always screen any caregiver or provider you are wanting to work with just as a best practice. Rover does a background check and reviews the sitter's profile when they are submitted but it is ultimately up to the pet owner to interview and screen the sitter that they want to work with.

I think rover should do a better job of hosting. I tried 8 sitters whose calendars said they were available but were answered they were not.
