why are sitters screwing rover?

they all say don't tell rover and save 5.00

What I think is, I am giving Rover a cut to provide me with my marketing services and my insurance. It is worth paying Rover to be covered and insured during the duration of the visit. Essentially, It is cheaper and easier to pay them 20% to handle all of the little details for me.

hum... not sure what you are talking about. However, if you feel that a sitter is doing something inappropriate I encourage you to contact Rover support at [Edit: Rover’s contact options have changed. Visit the Rover Help Center at https://support.rover.com/ to find the phone number, help articles, or chat with the team].

There are a lot of great sitters on this site that are not "screwing Rover".

Interesting. How many sitters have you interviewed and what was their feedback on this site? Just curious to see why all the sitters you selected tried to play a dirty game :D

I am not sure of your circumstance and I haven't done this myself nor have I heard from clients that this has happened, but Rover does take 20% of the money right out of a sitter's pocket. You may have been talking to folks who set their rates at rock bottom prices to be competitive, but then realized after Rover fees they are working for below minimum wage.
