I and my boyfriend do the dog sitting. The account itself is in my name but on the profile I do list him as sitter, include a photo and his experience as well. I also make sure to tell any new owners during the meet and greet that he is a sitter, along with me (he's usually present for the m&g) because there may be a time when I am not home for the pickup or delivery and I always like to make sure thats something they're comfortable with!

My partner is a veterinarian so I always use that as a selling point ;) We live together and she will be caring for the animals along side me so technically we do work together but it's my name on the account and generally me who does all the corresponding, updating our profile etc.

I present myself as the main sitter since I send all the messages, update the calendar, and take care of most pick-ups and drop-offs. I introduce my husband in my profile as my "bow-wow backup," and he is typically handling our dogs at the meet and greets while I am talking with the owners.

I have seen a few profiles where a couple is working together providing care in their own home. They have both of their names listed and include photos of the two of them on a single profile page.

I would love to set-up our account to show both of our names. Do you know how to have both of our names show up?

What about a couple that lives together and shares a pet, but has seperate accounts?

My husband and I are a team for our Rover sitting. We have pictures of both of us on the profile and mention it in the "about me" section. When meeting a client, we let them know we're in it together and that we are both going to be interacting with their dog(s) while they stay with us. It's worked well and the clients like that their pet gets double the attention!

My boyfriend and I have been Rover sitters together for almost a year. The account is under my name, but he is listed and he attends all the meet and greets. We very much work as a team with him taking care of the dogs while I'm at work and me taking over at night (our staggered work schedules make it possible for one of us to be with the dogs almost all the time). Actually, one of the only things I don't love about the Rover site is that you can only put one name on the account. I'd like for both of our names to show on search results.

My account has my name & I have a family of six & the whole family loves pitching in at one point or another in interacting with the dogs. I have my spouse listed as another emergency contact. I just feel any 1099 career is more family related, meaning that everyone pitches in one way or another. You are 1099 if you got zero clients then you also have no money to pays bills or to eat. & when you Do have Client Rovers then it is everyone's responsibility make sure Rover is having fun, going on walks, eating well, & cleaning up any messes, etc. I like there is always someone in my family near by to help when a Rover Client needs something, even if it is most basic need...Pet me, Pet me, Pet me...paw slap to the face...Pet me, Pet me, Pet me :)

I see that only one answer is allowed per person here..

My updated question/answer is:

CAN an home addresses hold two http://Rover.com accounts? I am mean: Can I have a Rover account as an adult & then my adult daughter that lives with me while going to college have her own account? I know for sure we would have separate phone numbers, since we both have our own phones, but what about the sharing of our address??

Thank you in advance for your replies,

SoCal-Rover/sitter

my name is on the account but my family of 4 take turns watching the dogs so it helps that at times we have 4 people watching the dogs. always one of us at home.

My boyfriend and I also work together as sitters. His name is on the account, but I'm more involved with customers, so I think it's rather confusing for some. To add your name to the account, you just have to call Rover support and they'll take care of it. Keep in mind that if you have the background check badge, the additional name will also have to submit a background check. The customer service rep will walk you through how to do that. :)

Are you sitting in your own home or in the owner's home? I'm wondering about the appropriateness of my husband coming along when I'm doing a week-long sit. I can certainly ask each owner, but I'm wondering about adding that detail to my profile and whether it would attract or deter a client.
