How can I use promo code?

I saw some promo code like $30 off for new customers or $20 off First Booking with Email Sign Up. I made my account last year, but I haven't used it. Does it count as new customer? If not, does this 20 off First Booking code work for me? I'm trying to book, but it will be really good, if I can use some promotion.
