What does pet sitting in my home cover?

Does this mean they spend all day and night at my house. Or overnight and visits during the day. Does the fee cover overnight only and then per visit fees during the day?

Comments

Each sitter has the ability to set their own policy for House Sitting, although most include at least an overnight stay at minimum. If the sitter doesn't have their policy written in their profile I suggest reaching out and asking what care (and how much time) their base rate fee covers.

According to Rover's FAQ, the house-sitting service is supposed mean a sitter comes to your home and takes care of your pet for up to 24 hours. They stay overnight, but may come and go during the day to take care of other animals, but they should be spending a majority of their time with your pet. This is a premium-type service and you should expect to pay more. Of course, prices vary by location too.

However, every Rover sitter is independent and may offer variations of this service, like coming over in the evening, staying overnight and ensuring your pet gets walks/potty breaks as needed. Usually the sitters with a higher price provide an all-inclusive service and the lower-priced ones may only stay overnight at your home and you may need to add on other services, like a drop-in or walk.

The best thing to do is read each sitter's profile and ask questions to ensure you get the level of care you want.
