Can a customer make payments on a future visit?

I have a 9 night stay for two dogs and a customer is requesting to make payments. The stay is in 3 months but they want to make a payment in a couple weeks from now to reserve the dates. Does rover offer this option? what can I do to confirm the stay and not have it sitting in my inbox for 3 months?

You could have them call Rover to discuss whether this is possible...or you could just break up the stay into however many installments they want. They would pay for each one when they want. You would archive the unpaid ones as "owner's plans changed" or "owner didn't respond." Both you and the customer can always resurrect from the archive. The only problem with this approach is that your Rover calendar will show those unpaid dates as available and other customers could contact you. If you have full confidence that these customers will follow-through, then you could mark those dates as Unavailable and they would still be able to book with you and others would not.

I have owners pay months in advance to reserve their place because I book up quickly. Like Karen said, the customer can break up the payments but should talk to rover support. I wouldn't "archive" payments as rover would/could refund the payments. You can also go into your rover calendar and subtract the space(s) owner wants and reserve. I only do that for my repeat customers and put them on my "private" calendar. Make sure your policy is "Strict".

Not archive payments, which I don't even think you can do, but unpaid bookings until the customer pays.
