What to do about aggressive dog?

I am currently on day 1 of a 2 week stay with two pit bulls. at first they were both extremely friendly, now the male pit bull has become extremely aggressive, has bit my girlfriends hand drawing blood and he as broke his crate. The owner never told me he was aggressive and during the meet and greet he was friendly. His owner had a flight this morning and is no longer in town. I don't feel comfortable watching him any longer, I can not even walk into my own apartment without him barking and growling at me. What should I do?

Before accepting long sits now, after the meet and greet, I require a day board and a single overnight sit, just for these reasons you are going through above. Most of my dog clients will agree to this, and if they don't that's a red flag. Also, when doing a meet and greet, ask the owner to leave the area for a while, be alone with the dogs indoors and outdoors, you will get a better feel for the dogs when the owners are away. Research if the dogs have been boarded before, where and for how long. Take as much time as you need on a meet and greet moving forward when it's for a long sit.

Did the client give you an emergency contact? Family or friend? I"m new to this but Call Rover and call the friend.

ALWAYS, and I mean, always call Rover support when you need help. Accepting two pitbulls is a big responsibility. It's likely the owner is a strong leader, and the dogs do not cause trouble when he's around.
