Is payment per pet or per visit?
I have a hard time paying $45+/visit to walk one dog and feed two cats who are going to hide. It seems excessive.

Every sitter on Rover is independent and sets his/her own rates. For dog walking, the additional pet charge can range from negligible to no discount. You have to look through the sitter/walker profiles to see how they charge. The same also goes for drop-in visits in terms of charges for additional pets, including cats. Be sure to click on the Additional Rates link for each sitter to see how/if they charge for additional pets.
You should note that drop-in visits may not necessarily include a full walk, but a short potty break only. You will need to discuss with each sitter you contact.
