Are there any real sitters on the app?

Seems that many of the sitters are looking for best case scenario, don't get back or get back and say they are busy. I think it would be easy for Rover to review the rejections and try to figure out if "sitters" want only the best case scenario or what. At this point I'm not sure I'll ever use http://Rover.com.

Comments

At least you know their intentions and lack of quality in service and let care. Taking your babies to a fancy pet hotel you are greeted in a beautiful lobby and you will never know the people who are taking care of your pets. Kennel attendants and remote cameras not loving homes.

I laugh when reading comments that say I was nervous leaving my pet with a stranger but of course it ended up being the best experience ever. The fanciest pet resorts have 1 attendant to 45 dogs, no personal attention and you never get to go in back and tour to see the dark side of stacked crates

And ‘suites’ filed with pee and feces. While I don’t allow meet and greets to tromp through my home while booked clients are enjoying a stress free time I do spend as much time out back and answer all questions- they are always welcome to look in the home and come inside at drop and pick up

But you should be weary of sitters letting you tour and interact with others doggies - because that’s how your baby will be treated as well. And Rover is very clear that they are held harmless for any damage, runaways and medical during meet and greets.

Sorry to hear you have been having trouble finding a sitter on the site. While there may be sitters who fail to respond or respond they are busy they are in the minority. Many sitters are very professional and quickly respond to all booking requests. I would suggest you give it another try, after searching seek out the sitters that show up high on the list and those with lots of reviews, they are the ones who work this business very hard and are there to help you. I also recomend you don't choose the cheapest sitter as you may encounter the scenario's you mentioned. The real pro's charge more but you should be seeking quality professional care and not to see if you can save a few bucks. Best of luck to you
