Why am I still getting requests when I'm marked unavailable?

I've marked my calendar as unavailable for a period of time and I'm still getting requests. This has happened more than once. Why are clients still able to send requests?

Could Rover please change this setting so you can’t get booked when marked away? I’m also getting numerous requests when unavailable and it takes time to respond. This has happened when I’m away and I’ve gotten numerous reminders from Rover to respond to the booking request. Thanks for considering!

Marking yourself as unavailable does not stop requests from coming through. It will take you out of the search results but if it is a repeat client or they favorited you, they can always find your profile via their Dashboard.

If an owner does send a request through for dates that you have already marked as unavailable, they will see an alert letting them know you are unavailable for that time and most likely will not be able to book the stay.

they actually do come up in the search results even if unavailable. i get requests from new clients even when i’m booked up or unavailable. they also show a message that says “this doesn’t match your preferences but we thought we’d share it with you”.
