Is a Meet&Greet "worksheet" a good idea?

I'm a brand new sitter here on Rover, and I'm preparing for my first stay way before I've even been requested. I've made this little questionnaire worksheet that I want to use, but I'm not sure if it will make me seem more or less professional, or straight up anal retentive. It's designed to be printed out and taken with to the Meet & Greet, and has space for me to take notes on in pen. The front page has my rates, a section to write the confirmed pick up/drop off times, spaces for the owner's contacts, the emergency contacts, and the vet contacts. The second/back page is a list of questions I've compiled based on what I've seen on the Sitter Blog, and in this forum, split into a Behavior Training section, and a Eat, Sleep, and Play Routines section.

I'm thinking that I'll send it to them ahead of time so they can prepare some answers, and maybe come up with something I missed, then post-Meet&Greet I'll make up a new copy for just them, so I have it on hand for future stays.

Is this...too much? I've never done professional sitting before, and I feel like I'm overthinking this.

I also have a list of questions I use for each client. On it I list the name, emergency contact, vet info, etc, and pertinent questions as you suggested. We talk about these things during a M&G, and the parent has the option to fill the sheet out or put the info online on their pet's profile page.

I suggest doing whatever makes you feel the most prepared. The owner has the option to enter in emergency contact info, vet info and care instructions to their dogs profile on Rover, so that would eliminate a lot of writing on their part, and would be easy for you to access. If you choose to go the Rover route, I would send them a message like this:

Hey (owner name),

I'm looking forward to (dog name)'s visit here shortly! I wanted to make sure I had all the information I need. When you have a moment, if you could update (dog name)'s profile with their care instructions, veterinarian, and your emergency contact that would be greatly appreciated!

Best, Your name.

Excellent preparation!

You posted your question a while ago and have likely already solidified your own questionnaire, but you may also enjoy this Meet and Greet Checklist on Rover: https://www.rover.com/blog/meet-greet...

Best of luck!

I have a Meet & Greet checklist that I use too.
Personally, I think it gives the impression that you take your job seriously and truly care about their dogs.
It looks like you have some great advice here.

I also have a pet information sheet that I take with me to the M & G to fill out. It helps me immeasurably by providing a way to keep track of the important information.

I can't see where it would make you look less professional or anal-retentive. My impression is that owners appreciate it. Your idea of sending it to the owner for them to fill out ahead of time is a good one, and I like the info you include.
