Why do I have payment withdrawn but no receipt?

I had a booking in December and my bank was drafted for the full amount. The sitter just called and said she had not been paid. When I tried to get a receipt on the site there was nothing there. Rover took the money. Where did it go?

Why did the sitter call you? You submitted your payment to Rover, its up to Rover to pay her, that's why we use the site so that we don't have to collect payments.

I dont know. She must be unfamiliar with process. She did text me later to say she had gotten from PayPal. Concerned me because I was drafted long ago. Felt uncomfortable that my money was gone and this lady had not received.

She's probably a newer sitter and didn't realize she'll only get paid after the sit. The owner pays when the booking is confirmed and Rover holds the money until the booking is completed, then pays the sitter. Glad everything was resolved :o)

I would call Rover because ultimately everything should be documented for tax purposes and stuff in the future. Typically one is charged for booking and then does not get paid until 48 hours after the stay through PayPal. You should see the payments on your dash board if you don't see it already.

I would try contacting Rover Support either through email https://support.rover.com/hc/en-us/requests/new (https://support.rover.com/hc/en-us/re...) or through telephone [Edit: Rover’s contact options have changed. Visit the Rover Help Center at https://support.rover.com/ to find the phone number, help articles, or chat with the team] in order to get this worked out. The customer is charged at the time of booking the stay and the sitter is paid after the stay is completed. On the sitter's end they will see the payment on their Dashboard and if they do not have automatic withdrawal they will need to manually send the payment to their account through the Rover site.
