How does one report a dog owner so that other sitters are aware of him if he books with them?

At the meet & greet before the stay, I have a questionnaire that the owner and I go through and fill out so that I have a better knowledge of the guest.

I recently had a dog stay with me at my home for a week. The owner booked with me and then after I messaged him, he said he had not looked at the price before booking and that he had only ever paid $20 a night through Rover. His past sitter was busy and therefore could not sit for him. I said that I could be flexible with the price and we could work something out as I was available for that time.

During the M&G, the owner said the dog did or didn't do things that turned out to not be true. For example, she was crate trained, that she didn't have accidents in the house, or that she was good with cats & dogs, to name a few things. These are not true. She's a sweet little dog, however she has a lot of bad habits and it's not my responsibility to train/re-train the dog in addition to the numerous walks that I have to take her on as she does not have good potty habits. (peeing and/or pooping every night and not on the puppy pads) She's 3 years old.

Each walk I take her on is at least 15 minutes up to a half hour 4+ times a day, as she would rather wait to go in the house or doesn't know that walks mean potty time. She has lunged and tried to attack my cat on several occasions, which has resulted in a modified fenced off area to keep her safe and has lunged at other dogs.

My question and concern is:

How do sitters know if the owner is being honest about their dog if there isn't a way to review the owner that is available for other sitters to see?

I am literally going through this exact issue right now with a dog staying for 4 more days. I cannot do it. I, too, had a M&G where the owner assured me she was crate trained, potty trained and fine with other animals. None of which are true. Rover needs to help us in these false instances?!

I just had an experience with this myself. The owner was also delayed an entire day and I had to extend the stay of his dogs. He was furious that he had to pay for an extension and wrote a terrible review on my profile because of it.

Are there any resolutions to this yet???

A similar scenario just happened to me where the owners said their dogs were good with cats at the meet and greet, but then after they dropped the dogs and all their belongings off they advised that I should keep my cats separated from their dogs because, "there was an incident." Their dog ended up jumping over a four and a half foot fence and attacked my cat, mildly injuring his paw.

I reported it to Rover and requested assistance letting other sitters know that the dogs are not good with cats and the owners were deceptive about it. Rover must have sent the owners an email because I just received an angry message from the dog owners telling me that I am unprofessional and that they regret leaving me a nice review.

Currently Having this same Problem. I would say just call the rover support number and report the owner's profile to them and explain what happened.
