How can I tell someone I don't want to sit for them again?

If I sat for someone and don't want to sit for them again, How do I go about this in a polite manner?

Perhaps you can tell her that you require advanced notice of two days for all requests. You can even put it in your description in your profile. Maybe then your score won't be negatively affected when you reject her request, but I'm not sure. And maybe charge extra for dogs that aren't potty trained.

No I sat for her once, she has called me at least 6x at the last minute. Again, last night. Thanks for your advice tho. I did tell her I can not do last minute sits, that maybe she should find another sitter who is available within in (literally) a 5 min notice. I told her I need advanced notice.

Have they requested your services again?

From a general standpoint, just be polite, say how much you liked their dog but that you don't think you are the right sitter for them. Never blame them or their dog. Just that it isn't a good fit. Be general. I'd give you some better language if I knew what the issue was.

She calls me and wants me to sit right then and there. Never books ahead of time. Has done this about 6 times already. She wants her dogs walked every 2 hrs, they also pee and poop in the house. And she leaves me a dirty bed to sleep in.

Sorry, I didn't see your follow-up. So you've sat for her 6 times? Hard to say it isn't a good fit when you've already agreed 6x. Try this approach: tell her that only 2-3 walks are included in your nightly fee & that you'll have to charge her extra for those.

Also since her dogs are not housebroken, there's another housekeeping fee for daily cleanups. Tell her you also require that she provide you with a clean room and freshly made up bed. I would think the additional charges will make her look elsewhere.

When the booking request comes in, use the modification line to add in all those extra charges. Good luck!
