Could another sitter leave a bad testimonial on my account?

I'm both a sitter and a pet parent. I booked drop-by visits for the holiday while I was out of town and had a really bad experience. She only made 2 of the 4 agreed-upon visits and didn't scoop the cat box the entire time, and the only reason I even knew what had happened is because I returned from the airport to a dry water dish, a nasty litter box (and an empty Litter Genie, so I know the waste didn't just build up fast), and two empty timed feeders. Given the timing of her last visit, I knew the cats had gone without lunch. What's worse, the sitter didn't communicate with me when this stuff came up, and the one Rover Card I got showed just an 11-minute visit.

As much as I hate to leave a bad review, I think pet owners deserve to know what they're getting. My worry is that as a sitter/walker I don't want her to be able to retaliate if I leave a bad review. Could she go onto my profile and write a negative testimonial, where she pretends to be a previous client?

You should absolutely post your review, and call Rover to let them know what happened!! No one can post a review to your profile unless they have a completed booking through Rover and the only way to get testimonials is if you send someone a request. This sitter would not be able to just review you.
