How do I get my dog to stop biting?

This is a tough one only because you don't really have a lot of information to go off of.

If he is a puppy- you can use a spray bottle with water (and if he likes the water can add a little bit of white vinegar , dogs typically hate the smell.) When he bites you spray him and tell him no. He will get the idea and eventually you will be able to eliminate the spray bottle.

If he is an older dog, than I wold recommend that you take him to training. Older dogs who bite do not respect their owners and a lot of work will need to be done to build that confidence and loyalty between you and your dog.

I had the same experience with my Maltese. What I learned is never to react when your dog bites! Your reaction might seem funny and interesting to your dog. Whenever your dog bites, just ignore your dog COMPLETELY. Hide your hands/feet or wherever your dog is biting, and do not show any type of reaction. Make your dog to think of his/her self what is going on? Is there something wrong? I personally think that sprays could be traumatizing and leave some memories that are not good to remember of.
