Why did my dog get diarrhea after changing his food?

You may have changed the food too suddenly. To change a dog's food, slowly add a little bit of food to the existing food each day until the dog is eating only the new food. For example, if you give your dog one cup of food twice a day, start by adding only 1/4 of cup of new food to 3/4 cup of old food only once a day. Do this for a couple of days before increasing the amount. This should help with the transition and prevent diarrhea.
