Why is there blood in my dog's poop?

If there is just a little bit of blood, it could be from constipation/straining. Keep checking your dogs' poop as it could be something more serious. If it lasts more than a day or two, it could be Parasites, like hookworm or whip worm, bone pieces if you give your dog bones to chew or a number of other causes. Call your veterinarian as he/she will check your dog's chart, have questions on your observactions and have you bring your dog in to be checked.
