Is there a way for sitters to communicate with other sitters concerning a "difficult" dog?
Hey all!
So I have been using Rover for a few months, and I would say that it has been a wonderful experience. I have had a big gap in employment due to finishing school and waiting on a permanent position, so Rover has helped me out quite a bit (financially and loneliness level).
Out of all my dogs that I have watched, I have really only had two that were difficult. One was massive, destructive, and very poorly trained. (Granted, there is nothing that could be done about the size of the dog, it just added to the difficulties). It destroyed my couch cushions, several hats, and other things. The other dog was just incredibly anxious. She would whine all night and bark. She really wouldn't let me get close to her. Again, the dog did seem anxious and I felt more guilty that I couldn't ease her anxiety.
Is there any way that Rover sitters would be able to communicate with other sitters in the future?? I more than likely would have still taken the dogs, I maybe just would have had a different game plan. Maybe I could have talked to other sitters to have seen what they have done with the anxious dog, etc.
Just curious! Again, super thankful for Rover and how it's helped me out. I have had a great time. My job is starting soon so my Rover days are tapering down, but it's been fun! I have been blessed with some wonderful dogs and dog parents! I just had this thought this morning and thought I would post :)
