What is cost adjustment?

I had to modify my dog's stay and now I see a $10 cost adjustment in addition to the sitter rate. What kind of fee is this?

Have you asked your sitter about the $10 charge? If not, that is where I would start if I were you. It could be that changes to to your dog's stay dates go beyond the 24-hour "nightly" billing structure. It could a pro rata charge for a partial day, or he/she may be charging you for an early or late pickup. These are only guesses on my part.

Because every sitter on Rover is independent, he/she can set their own rates and rules. It could be that the sitter has instituted a fee just for making a change. It is impossible to say. That is why you need to ask the sitter. If the sitter cannot give you an answer, then call Rover Customer Support at [Edit: Rover’s contact options have changed.
