What does Rover consider full time house sitting on week days?

For house sitting bookings on week days what is considered full time? Is it being on clients property 24 hours each day of booking period? Is it being on clients property at least a specific number of hours withing each 24 hour period? Is who and how that's determined dependent on mutual understanding of parties involve?

Rover has no specifics as to what constitutes house-sitting except that it involves pet care for up to 24 hours. There are many variations practiced by sitters here from reading these boards. So long as the client and you agree on how much time you spend in the home, then you should be fine. There can be the rare client that wants you to be there full time and IMO that client should expect to pay a premium because you would be unable to do walks and drop-in visits for other dogs. Make sure the client knows that you will be in and out, but that their dog will not be left alone for x hours at a time, plus you will be there full time in the evening and overnight.

This is up to the individual sitter and client and should be discussed and agreed upon at the M&G prior to booking the stay. I always explain that I will not be at their home 24/7 unless it is a stay of 3 days or less because of other dog visits or I need to run errands or check on my home. I am usually not gone more than 2-3 hours at a time, and i am always in the client home before dark and all night. I also limit my house sitting assignments to my zip code, a distance of about 5-7 miles.
