How do I search Rover for sitters for special need dog?

We have an older, large breed dog that has some difficulty walking and needs help getting up (and going to the bathroom). Is there a filter or area of http://Rover.com to search for providers that are equipped to handle these special needs?

You can see who has experience with special needs dogs in the ABOUT section under additional skills. After that, you can contact the sitter and see about your dog's specific needs and see which sitter can best accommodate your dog's needs.

Unfortunately, there is no search filter for senior dog experience even though that might be shown on a sitter's profile under "additional skills" (You might want to bring this up to Rover Customer Support that it would really help customers).

There are a couple of ways to go, the easiest being to have Rover Customer Support find you a potential match, i.e., let them look for a sitter that meets your needs (senior dog experience, perhaps a living situation without stairs, a backyard, etc.) There is no cost to you to have Rover do the tedious job of searching through sitter profiles. The other, of course, is for you to go into sitter profiles and look for all the attributes you need. Look at the housing photos to see if your dog would be comfortable in those surroundings and if the sitter has the experience you need.

Good luck!
