Would you call Rover about an aggressive dog?

Got a last minute walk for a Chihuahua. The owner was desperate because she was out of town and her family member that was suppose to drop in and walk the dog bailed on her. So there was no Meet & Greet (owner was already out of town). I agreed because it was close to another dog I walk.

So I get there and the dog is crated in the kitchen and as soon as I walk in is growling, barking and baring teeth. I was literally afraid to let this dog out of the crate so I text the owner. She says let him out he'll be fine. I ask if she has ever had a dog walker before and she says no (ugh). So I very carefully open the crate petrified this dog was going to attack me. She bolts from the crate literally screaming (never heard this before) and shaking. Starts peeing all over the house as she is running around screaming and out of control. She finally settles on the top of a couch pillow and will not let me near her, growling and baring teeth at me. So I text the owner again. She his giving me all kinds of tips but nothing is working. She says, "She won't let you pick her up" and I'm like, lady this dog won't even let me withing 10 feet of her without barking, growling and baring her teeth at me. So I stay there for 30 minutes trying. Sitting quietly on the couch to see if she'll come over and nothing worked. I sent the owner three videos of how vicious this dog was behaving and she was apologizing profusely. I finally had to leave and did not attempt to even get her back in her crate.

So I will call Rover and tell them to give this lady her refund but should I tell them how vicious this dog was? No dog walker should be around this poor thing. It was so scared.

Yes, I'd call Rover to inform them. Under different circumstances (more planning by owner - where she physically initiates introductions between dog and walker, and schedules repeated visits/walks when she's around) there may have been a better outcome. That's very kind of you to refund the service, but it sounds like you did everything you could and should be compensated for your time.
