Pet owners confused by availability on the calendar?

Quite frequently pet owners book with me only to find out I'm not available because the days they are interested in show green available days. They do not know to mouse over those days to see what's available. I'm already booked for boarding but not dog walking or drop in visits etc. It's very in convenient to turn them down after the quote request. I've brought this to the attention of Rover but have basically been told, that's the way it is. Am I doing something wrong here? Are pet owners told up front how to work the calendar? I'm thinking of blocking those days for all other services to eliminate the confusion.

Many sitters like yourself offer multiple services and it does cause confusion for clients when you are totally booked for one service but have availability for other services. Unfortunately new clients aren't offered a tutorial on the calendar, even if they were I highly doubt they would look at it, this is similar to them actually reading your profile to see what you offer or what you won't accept. Sitters have to decide what services they want to concentrate on and turn off the services they don't offer or in fact get any bookings for**. Many sitters offer walks, yet get none because of the area they live in, same goes for all the other services.
