Does Rover monitor messages AND phone calls?

I know that the messages between sitters and clients are monitored (read by those who work for Rover) but I'm unsure if they also listen in on our conversations with clients that call our Rover phone number. I don't really care if they do as I am very professional over the phone. However, I'd like to know how much of my privacy is actually respected since I'm using a phone number that is given to me by Rover.

i immediately give the client my cell and ask they use that. i can add their name to contacts and know whos contacting me. i don't appreciate monitoring. 😉

I don't work for Rover HQ, but I don't think they listen into phone calls. My understanding is the Rover phone number just operates like an overlay, an anonymous number that re-routes to cell. phone numbers.

it is invasive if they are reading texts or listening to phone calls. I just received an email from them based on a text exchange with a sitter (so they had to have been monitoring texts) and that is SO WRONG. Based on that I will not be using Rover again. Nor will I recommend them to anyone. I hate the ‘Big Brother is Watching You’ stuff.

By law they can not listen in or record unless they notify you at the beginning of the phone call. The only other way is for them to have a loud beep for you to hear every few seconds. This lets you know you are being recorded. Phone conversations are different from 2 people talking in person. Than, only one person has to know. I wouldn't be concerned with it. However your text are a different story. I would read their Terms of use very carefully to make sure that there is nothing in there about phone call "eves dropping" for quality control. But again, they have to let you know about it which could be in there.
