Did my dog have a seizure?

I'm really worried. My dog just ran out of breath and started trembling out of nowhere. I tried to comfort him to calm him down and stop the shaking. He is better now, but does this mean he just had a seizure? What do I do about this??

Call a vet and get a proper diagnosis. He/she will be fine. He/she will just need to be on medication.

Take the dog to a Veterinarian immediately!. Never ever do a self diagnosis. It is not fair to either you nor the animal.

Lived with a epileptic dog for a number of years. I hope that he makes a speedy recovery.

Growing up my dog had seizures all the time. Of course I would definitely call a vet and describe the incident in detail and see what they say. Most small companies are happy to answer questions on the phone. I can try and help though. If it was a seizure he (as I am aware) would have fallen over, been very stiff while shaking, look terrified like stuck in another body, and the breathing is like their lungs won't move, not heavy panting. They also typically defecate and urinate. Also after the incident they become very clingy and a little out of it. If not it could possibly have been a bad muscle spasm of exhaustion if having exercised recently.
Again this is just my experience. Hope he feels better!

I dealt with a dog that had seizures as described above, laying on the ground, arched neck, shaking, whining, panting, very stiff. Disoriented afterward and clingy. Had to keep other dogs off him, as they didn't understand what was happening and were snapping at him.
