How do I list Rover.com services on Nextdoor.com without giving my personal cell phone number?

http://Nextdoor.com requires that individuals or businesses list a phone number. I would like to use a http://Rover.com number and have it forwarded to my cell, without having to give my personal number out.

You can use Google voice, then have the call forwarded to your cell.

Hi, Gwynn! I don't know if NextDoor has updated this as of late, but I did not have to give them my phone number when I signed up. Maybe there is a difference between signing up through the app versus the desktop version? As for using a Rover phone number, it is my understanding that you have a unique phone number for each of your clients, not one that is specifically assigned to you. Plus, only clients who are registered with Rover can contact you with their number, so would not work to have potential new clients contact you after finding you through NextDoor anyway. There are other virtual phone companies, like Grasshopper, where you can pay for a business line and have the calls/messages sent to your personal phone, if you are really looking for something else to use.

Rover sitters do NOT have a dedicated Rover phone number. A new number is created with each and every client you acquire. Here is an example: Client 1 858-123-4567, Client 2 858-890-1234
