My question is about the pay rate? I want to know if we can charge night and day?

why can't we charge for day and night for our boarding services? for example if an owner come to my house and leaves his pet at 10 in the morning and picks up his pet 5 days later at 8pm, why cant we charge for late pick up or early drop off? Its like we should be like hotels , check out is at 12am and check in is at 2pm. I want to know if we can charge night and day?

Many sitters charge for late pick up and early drop off and hours of care over 24 hour periods. It just has to be entered as: daycare, additional day of boarding, or a cost adjustment. It's best to communicate these extra charges that would apply when you discuss the booking with the pet parent (such as at the meet & greet) and then reference what the charges are for in the Rover messages.

You absolutely can charge for the overage. I would and do all the time. Since I don't offer daycare, the amount I charge depends on the overage and I'll add it onto the original bill as an adjustment. If a dog is here 10 hours past, then I will charge another day. That is why it is important to get the dropoff and pickup times before the stay is finalized. However, you always have the "extend a stay" function to bill after the stay is already in progress.

Boarding at a kennel is like a hotel. Home boarding I think is a little different. I don't have established check-in/out times, but I won't accept any dogs before 8 am but will allow pickups up until 10 pm because I'm more a night person.

You are an independent contractor and can run your business however you want. Rover's FAQ state that each "night" of boarding is for up to 24 hours of care. If you want to charge early/late dropoff fees or a daycare fee for the time over 24 hours, then go right ahead. Always make sure your customers understand before the stay begins and try to get the additional charges onto the initial bill. It's just easier that way.

thank you this helps a lot. so if it is a 4 day stay , 3 nights Do I charge the last day as a daycare? the owner will come to pick up the dog at 6pm

Since your boarding & daycare fees are the same, it doesn't matter, except Rover's system will think the stay ends the following day, which delays your payout by one day. Just add it on as daycare for the final day when the overage is more than a couple of hours. I allow about 2 hrs leeway.
