Welcome to Rover! Owners will contact you based on their search results. You cannot contact owners or apply to available jobs.
The first thing you can do is to ask friends and family to write testimonials for you. Although these are not verified reviews, they do provide some reference for owners when they are looking at your profile! You could also ask friends or family whose pets you usually watch to book a (discounted) stay through Rover so you'll get some visits, as well as verified reviews.
Keep your rates competitive while you're just starting out. Search other sitters in your area and see what they charge, then offer a little less than that. You don't want to go too low, but make yourself desirable!
You can market yourself by posting your profile link on Craigslist, Nextdoor, or creating flyers and putting them up at dog friendly hangouts. You can order business cards from Rover and pass them out at dog parks, or I've heard some sitters that will leave their cards at dog friendly hotels or veterinary offices.
Your profile looks good so far! Just remember that getting started takes time - some sitters don't get their first request for a few weeks, while others only have to wait hours! Keep your calendar up to date so you don't have to turn anything down, and respond to requests quickly. Best of luck!
