paid for overnight on last night what time does sit end next day

Hello, I am used to being paid per day and not per night. With Rover I see it is per night. So my question is if my last night is lets say June 1st what time the next day would the sit end before I would charge for another night. I know it depends on what they need and what we agree on but generally what do you think

Most clients don't know about that a stay is 24 hours unless they ask. I don't charge for periods over the 24 hours. I count it as free 'daycare' for the client. Usually they don't even know but when they do, they appreciate it. I also mention in my profile that we can extend a stay a few hours for free but they don't always read the entire profile, either...so just play it by ear. Anything to keep a client happy.

Instead of thinking of "nights," think 24-hour periods from dropoff to pickup. Any increments can be billed as an adjustment or a daycare charge. Just make sure you've explained this to the client at the outset, i.e., they are expected to pick up their dog at approximately (give or take a couple of hours) the same time dropped off.

I got confused on that when I first started too. Karen explained it well - think of a stay as 24 hours. Discuss the overall fee before hand. Explain that Rover works on a 24-hour clock, and anything over the 24-hour period is extra. What I do is charge 1/2 my daily rate if the pick up time is more than 4 hours after the dropoff time (drop off is 9 am, pickup is 4 pm, they get charged 1/2 my rate for the extra time). Anything over 8 hours will probably get charged the full day rate, but I haven't had that happen yet.
