Many animals whether they are a dog or cat, might do this after they get to know you, the pet is just simply comfortable around you. Like any other thing hopefully it'll pass, and it doesn't come to be an annoyance. Make sure that the animal you're taking care of knows its boundaries and that you're not comfortable with so much attention. Keep in mind that animals have feelings too, so be nice while you're doing this. Rover on!

This could be debated. It could be a sign of affection and closeness. Some may think it's an attempt of dominance. It could be protective and scent marking. Or it could be the dog perceives what you need.

Like people dogs do have there favorite people too. Your dog is showing you that he or she likes being with you is showing their love for you.

The dog feels safe & comfortable with you & is showing you that you are safe with them too.
