Why does my dog bark at other dogs?

Dogs are very social and barking is a way they communicate with each other. They may bark at other dogs out of fear, excitement, aggression, anxiety when left alone or if another dog barking. My dog will start barking when he hears another neighbor dog bark and that dog will bark when he hears my dog bark. Some dogs need training to not bark.
