Why does my dog slobber so much?

Some breeds are known for more saliva (slobbering & drooling) than others. It could be a sign of nausea, anxiety or dental issue. Less commonly, it could be due to infection or disease. There are many reasons. It's important to observe if any of the following exist and if they do, call your vet: Change in eating or Lack of appetite Difficulty swallowing Regurgitation or Vomiting Behavioral change -reclusiveness, irritability, aggressiveness Pawing at face or muzzle Neurological signs
