If you find a tick on your dog, make sure you remove it properly to make sure the head of the tick does not break off. Make sure you do a thorough check all over your dog including the ears and under the tail. Flea and Tick prevention should be given monthly and can be found at the local pet store or your vet. If you are in a high risk area for lymes disease, talk to your vet about the vaccination and other preventative options.
