Can you shower with your dog?

My dog always waits right outside of the bathroom for me. I think she wants to come into the shower with me. Is it safe to bring her in the shower?

Depends. Ultimately, if you want to --go for it! However, as the others said, keep an eye on temperature and on your dog's skin. Even for us humans, the water --especially the warmer the temp --can be drying. You may simply need to add a skin supplement to your dog's diet, or be certain that it's an occasional occurrence.

Sure why not you just have to use a temp of water less than you would for yourself. The temp should be like the bath water for a new born. If it feels hat or your skin gets red it's to hot. give the the shower then let them shake off give them a light pat down with a a good cotton towel Go back in the shower take yours come out and dry both of you the rest of the way off

I wouldn't recommend it. For a dog, the proper temperature is lukewarm water, since they have delicate skin and you probably prefer it hotter than that (which could burn or at least irritate the dog). Also, it would be harder to safeguard the dog from your human formulated shampoo, conditioner and soap not landing on your dog, which would be another irritant and could even result in ear infections or allergic reactions.
