My dog is just over two months old. Am I able to bathe her yet?
yes! i would recommend to start and getting them used to being groomed as soon as possible. usually puppys dont need their first haircut until about 4-6 months old but its a good idea to get them bathed and brushed out every 4 weeks.

I generally start pretty early on. It's important if your puppy will need good brushing, that you start that as early as possible. Use a puppy safe shampoo and as long as the puppy is steady on its feet, normally a month or so, you can begin giving regular baths. However, unless visibly pretty dirty, I would resist giving them a full on bath too early - the puppy smell only last too long haha
I spoke with my vet about this quite a bit and she let me that it really depends on the length of dog fur and when their last topical medicine was given. We chose to use a topical tick and bug solution administered by our vet on our pups second and third round of vaccinations, which meant it was not advised to bathe or have her out in heavy rain for at least two weeks post application. Our vet also let us know that most young pups won't need an extensive full body bath for about 3-6 months, but instead "spot-cleaning" areas like paws (which often and easily get dirty), bum/base of tail fur, and goop around the tear ducts.

I'd wait as long as you possibly can unless you try to use natural shampoos and be sure to put the natural oils back into a puppies skin almost like you would a baby.... If you have 100% nature shampoos that won't harm the puppy and it's umbilical cord piece has fallen off, you can bathe that puppy anytime you want. Just keep that puppy warm and dry after.....
Generally, newborn pups don’t need to be bathed up until they are about three months old, and most canine shampoos are for dogs which are at least 3 months old, however, you can still bathe younger puppies if they are visibly dirty or smelly.

if your puppy is small enough, bathing in a sink or small tub is ideal. bathing with dog shampoo or dawn dish soap does the trick. do not over bathe (once a month). Dawn dish soap helps with fleas too ( not completely removes fleas).
