Can I put lotion on my dog?

I would not recommend putting any lotion on the dog or really anything that isn''t safe for dogs to ingest. Keep in mind dogs lick &groom themselves and in the process would swallow these products.
Itchiness can occur on your dog for various reasons, such as disease, infection, allergies, stings from bees or wasps, mites, fleas or lice. Of course, the best option is to take your dog to the vet and get the most suitable treatment.
There are some "dog" lotions/skin care products. Always consult your vet. I know a dab of coconut oil for the pads of the feet helps if they seem to be dry or cracking.
try and steer towards lotions or cremes specifically made for dogs
Only products made for dogs are okay to apply to their skin or coat. Seeing a vet to get to the root of the skin condition is the best thing to do.
