Why is my dog so hyper?

Perhaps they're trying to hint to you that they need to go outside and run/get some exercise more frequently.

Give him some extra exercise! A nice long walk, hike, swim, or a jog will really help tire a dog out. Follow all of that with a nice play session of ball/frisbee in the yard and hopefully that will do the trick! If it isn't a nice day out then teach him new tricks. Mental stimulation is exhausting for dogs. Food puzzles also make them think!

First off, is your dog getting any/enough exercise. A couple long walks or a few good games of fetch can go a long way towards tiring a dog out and drain that excess energy. A dog that sits around all day with no exercise has no outlet for their pent up energy.
