Can i put coconut oil on my dog?

Yes you absolutely can! Just like a human, if you add it to your dogs food, you don't want to overdue it because excessive oil can lead to loose bowels, but a tbsp every other day or so could make a big difference in the shine and itch factor of your pups coat!
You can also apply coconut oil topically and if used sparingly it can lead to a nice shine to your dogs coat. Keep in mind that they are likely to lick it off though :)
You can, you just want to make sure that it is organic! It's likely your dog will want to lick it off because they enjoy the taste which is totally fine! Another alternative is to mix it into their food- it's an excellent source of essential fatty acids that helps to support their skin and coat. When you mix it into their food you can also avoid having a greasy dog!
Many diseases and ailments, like yeast infections, smelly coats, hot spots, cuts that have been infected, and even cracked paws, can all be cured with just a jar of “virgin coconut oil.”
